  • I’VE NEVER TRAINED BEFORE. DO YOU TEACH BEGINNERS?

    Yes. More than 90% of our members start as beginners with absolutely no prior training experience.

  • DO I NEED TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE TO TRAIN?

    Many of our members have had no formal exercise training. It’s our job to get you into shape, regardless of your current fitness level. We do, however, recommend consulting with your doctor before beginning any exercise program if you are concerned about your health status.

  • AM I TOO OLD/YOUNG TO LEARN?

    Our members range in age from 4 to 60. It’s never too early or late to get started.

  • DO WOMEN WORK OUT AT THE UNITED TAEKWON-DO STUDIO?

    Yes! Approximately 35% of our members are woman.

  • DO I NEED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT? WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

    You don’t need any special equipment for the free trial lesson. Just make sure to wear comfortable workout clothes. Once you are a member, you’ll want to purchase your own equipment, available here at the United Taekwon- do Studio.


  • DO I HAVE TO SPAR?

    No. While sparring is the best way to refine your skills, it is 100% optional. Many of our members come to United Taekwon-do Studio for a workout and have never sparred. However, many members started training with no intentions of sparring, and now it is their favorite part of their training. We leave it totally up to you.

  • WHAT IF I WANT TO SPAR?

    Sparring is done in a safe, controlled environment. Some members choose to spar after they’ve grown more comfortable and confident working with the instructor and equipment. To refine their techniques and test their skills in the studio. Others spar to prepare for competition.

  • WHAT IS THE ATMOSPHERE LIKE?

    We pride ourselves on creating a fun, non-threatening environment, People from all walks of life work out at the United Taekwon-do Studio. You are just as likely to be training alongside an artist, accountant, student, physician or world champion. Everyone is made to feel comfortable and welcome.
